Job Summary:
Thompson Bros. (CONSTR.) LP is seeking a highly skilled Site Survey Supervisor to oversee field survey operations in the Fort McMurray area. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for supervising a field survey crew and ensuring the successful completion of site work projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate field survey activities to meet project timelines and priorities.
- Communicate effectively with project management to ensure seamless coordination and execution of field survey work.
- Manage and maintain survey equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Calculate quantities and manage survey data for multiple projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot GPS equipment and machine control issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in a construction survey supervisor role.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software and previous experience with Topcon GPS and machine control.
- Strong understanding of different file formats for importing and exporting data into data collectors.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to work in remote camps and adhere to a rotational schedule.
- CSTS/OSSA or BSO certification, with Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive, and First Aid training considered an asset.
