About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Clinical Dietetic Aide to join our team. As a Clinical Dietetic Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical diet team by distributing, collecting, and accurately preparing patient menus. You will also be responsible for compiling information from the menus for food production and tray line patient service, as well as tallying production counts. The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 or equivalent, one year of clerical experience, and basic Serv Safe certification. Additionally, you will have demonstrated knowledge of therapeutic diet menus, accurate keyboarding skills, and good communication and interpersonal skills. About You
  • Grade 12 or equivalent required
  • One year clerical experience preferred
  • Basic Serv Safe or willingness to obtain within months of hire
  • Demonstrated knowledge of therapeutic diet menus
  • Accurate keyboarding skills with demonstrated knowledge of computers required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with the health care team and maintain good relationships with patients/residents, families and supervisors
  • Ability to deal with flexible workload and frequent interruptions
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
