Dietitian - Eastern Nova Scotia Opportunities

The Dietitian is responsible for providing competent, safe, and ethical professional practice to patients, families, and communities. This role advises on diet and food and nutrition across all health sectors, providing leadership in team efforts to support nutritional health.
The Dietitian participates in the Dietetic Practicum and Internship program, including preceptoring and mentoring Dietetic Students. They employ an evidence-informed approach to practice, contributing to client care through collaboration with healthcare team providers.
Positions are available in various communities, including Cleveland, Sydney, Antigonish, and New Waterford.
About YouWe are seeking a qualified Dietitian with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized University. The ideal candidate will have completed an approved Dietetic Internship and be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists.
Preferred qualifications include inpatient clinical nutrition experience, competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition, and experience counselling patients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications and effective interpersonal and communication skills are also essential.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent, assignment, or casual relief position with various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The hourly rate is $32.94 - $43.43, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
