Job Title: Manager, Data Governance Policy and Protection

As a critical member of our new organization, the Data Governance Manager will own the development and implementation of data governance, controls, and compliance frameworks. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across our business to ensure that our new policies, standards, and procedures align with our strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and requirements
  • Oversee the development, review, and monitoring of compliance with data governance processes, and lead investigations and reporting of any violations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including global data offices, privacy, and information security, to integrate data governance controls and policies into key organizational processes
  • Design and deliver training programs and workshops, and handle key communications to enhance data governance knowledge and practices across the organization
  • Facilitate change management activities to ensure the adoption of changes, and implement measurement systems to monitor adoption, utilization, and proficiency

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in developing and implementing data governance and risk management practices at an enterprise level
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of workshop facilitation, change management methodologies, tools, program and project management, and adult education
  • Excellence influencing, communication, problem solving, project management and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CDMP certification
  • Knowledge of, or familiarity with, data literacy, data management and governance, data governance policies and standards

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range $110,000.00 - $158,000.00 USD
  • Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location
  • In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
