Energy Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer Class 4 to join our Maintenance team at Winpak LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective repair, installation, and maintenance of production equipment, building, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect refrigeration, heating, and ventilating equipment for defects and improper operation, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Inspections and Repairs: Responsible for inspection, repair, replacement, installation, adjustment, and maintenance of all types of refrigeration, heating, and ventilating equipment within the facility.
- Collaboration and Resource Allocation: Arrange and coordinate assistance and resources from other departments such as Mechanics, Electricians, and HVAC Mechanics as required.
- Work Orders and Inventory Management: Perform regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labor on a CMMS system. Responsible for advising Supervisors when material and supplies are required.
- Blueprint Interpretation and Problem-Solving: Interpret blueprints; make sketches and calculations as required. Diagnose trouble using testing equipment and own judgment based on a general knowledge of Class 4 refrigeration, heating, and ventilating principles.
Salary and Benefits: The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment. You must also have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, as well as experience in aspects of Refrigeration and Chiller units including Water Treatment, Valves, Switches, Pumps, Pneumatic controls, HVAC, Pressure Boilers, Generators, Electronic controls, Condensers, Compressors, Alarms, Cooling towers.
Preferred Qualifications: Basic carpentry skills such as painting, drywall, repairs or modifications are an asset. Ability to take instruction and work independently as well as part of a team is also desirable.
