About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Pride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company in Cambridge, Ontario. As a member of our Brake and Shear Department, you will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality custom truck bodies to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Teamwork;
  • Perform work that is accurate and finished to the satisfaction of our end customers;
  • Read and understand shop drawings to enable independent work;
  • Cut, punch, and drill material accurately and efficiently;
  • Deburr/sand all sharp edges so the next operation has minimal cleanup;
  • Stack parts for easy access for the next operation and label both parts and skids/containers correctly;
  • Help operations in the fabricating area;

Requirements:

  • High School/GED diploma required;
  • Able to maintain regular and reliable attendance;
  • Able to work safely at all times, checking for hazards before starting any task;
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude;
  • Able to read a tape measure correctly;
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team;
