Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Metal Fabricator to join our team at JKM Custom Fabricating Inc. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural metal components for various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Determine materials required for projects
- Interpret engineering drawings and instructions to plan methods and sequences of operation
- Lay out reference points and patterns for metal cutting
- Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal efficiently
- Study engineering drawings and blueprints to identify fabrication requirements
- Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
- Weld or bolt sections together as required
- Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
- Install fabricated components in final products

Requirements

- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in structural metal fabrication
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW
- Experience with equipment and machinery, such as brakes, presses, cutting torches, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and welding equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
