Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Metal Fabricator to join our team at JKM Custom Fabricating Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures, components, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine materials required for projects
  • Interpret engineering drawings and instructions to plan methods and sequences of operation
  • Lay out reference points and patterns for metal fabrication
  • Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal efficiently
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • Weld or bolt sections together to create metal components
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Install fabricated components in final products
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in metal fabrication and welding
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW
  • Experience with brakes, presses, cutting torches, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and welding equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
