Community Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Care Specialist to join our team at IRT Sarah Claydon.
This is a part-time opportunity working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5pm. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and quality of life for our elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging onsite activities, such as bingo, floor bowls, craft, and special events, to promote social interaction and community spirit.
- Create and plan a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities that cater to diverse interests and needs of residents.
- Assist residents on bus trips and community outings, providing warm companionship and ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- SUPPORT resident participation and offer empathetic care, taking into account their values, spiritual beliefs, and cultural preferences.
- You hold a Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or are willing to obtain), with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You possess initiative, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
