Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a Patient Care Specialist to join our team at the Hope Wellness Centre Inc. in a permanent role. The estimated annual salary for this position is around $60,000 - $80,000.
About the RoleThe Patient Care Specialist will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members to provide high-quality patient care and support. This involves performing various tasks such as accompanying patients on outdoor activities, assisting with medical equipment maintenance and repair, taking vital signs, serving meal trays, and weighing and positioning patients.
Responsibilities- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling of medical equipment, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
- Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, monitoring their health status
- Serve meal trays and feed patients, promoting their nutritional needs
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, facilitating smooth communication
- Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Supervise patients' exercise routines, promoting physical activity and mobility
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, demonstrating your educational foundation
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, showcasing your skills and knowledge
- Familiarity with patient care principles and practices, ensuring you can provide high-quality care
