Job Summary
We are seeking a Claims Coordinator, Health Safety & Environment to join our team. As a Claims Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing workplace injury claims, liaising with the Corporate Claims Team, and reporting to the Corporate Claims Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Review incident investigation reports and assess claims for initial entitlement
- Prepare submissions for objections and third-party transfer of costs
- Manage workplace injury claims to minimize time loss and claim costs
- Liaise with provincial Worker's Compensation Boards and Health Care Practitioners
- Manage Workers' Compensation Appeals where appropriate
Requirements
- Post-Secondary education in a related field with 3–5 years of experience in Worker's Compensation claims management
- Extensive knowledge of Workers Compensation policies & procedures, experience rating system, Occupational Health & Safety Act
- High level of oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Multi-provincial knowledge and experience would be considered an asset (BC, AB, SK, ON)
