Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled baker to join our team at La Bosco Bakery & Cafe. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies and cakes.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a similar role and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to operate machinery and ensure the quality of products meets established standards.

The successful candidate will work a permanent position with 30-44 hours per week, based on business needs. The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Bake mixed dough and batters
  • Draw up production schedules
  • Ensure product quality meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas
  • Operate machinery

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects
