Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at Alberta Inc.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our pastry kitchen, developing new recipes, and maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

This is a permanent full-time position, working approximately 35-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the pastry kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and implement new menu items, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness in the pastry kitchen
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Order supplies and equipment, managing inventory and maintaining records as needed
Requirements:
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a pastry chef, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
