Job Description:We are looking for an experienced professional who can install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical systems, including power lines, cables, and street lighting systems. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems
- Conducting self-inspections to verify compliance with job requirements and applicable codes and regulations
- Coordinating with local electrical inspection authorities to obtain necessary approvals
- Inventory control and management
- Performing other duties as assigned
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certification as a Powerline Technician Journeyperson, including successful completion of MEARIE or IHSA Powerline Technician Training Program (434A Red Seal Powerline Technician)
- Ability to operate bucket trucks, radial boom derricks, hydraulic equipment, and all other tools used in line maintenance and construction
- Familiarity with live line work practices and techniques on the systems, including stick work, and rubber glove techniques
