Key Private Lending Officer Role in Asian Markets

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Key Private Lending Officer to play a vital role in the growth of our Asian Markets business at Manulife Insurance Malaysia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and support, while ensuring seamless execution of credit and security processes. They will work closely with internal partners to meet the needs of high net worth clients and advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Service and Support

  • Deliver outstanding service to high net worth clients and advisors, adhering to industry standards and desired client experiences.
  • Respond promptly to client queries, collaborating with internal teams to address concerns and provide solutions.
  • Facilitate client transactions, liaising with operations staff as needed to ensure smooth execution.
  • Investigate and resolve client issues in a timely manner, maintaining strong relationships and trust.

Credit and Security

  • Establish and administer new loan and deposit business, processing related financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain high-quality security files, escalating and resolving any deficiencies in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Ensure accurate records and reporting, meeting compliance and audit requirements while working closely with Manulife Private Wealth operations and Bank operational staff.

Administration and Branch Operations

  • Identify process enhancements and recommend suitable solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all bank records and correspondence.
  • Perform general office administration tasks to support branch operations.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in banking, including retail, commercial, and high net worth.

Skills and Abilities

  • Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (verbal and written).
  • Excellent knowledge of banking operations, systems, and controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make sound judgments and take accountability.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.

Salary Range: $56,400 - $94,000 per year
