Senior Banking Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Banking Officer to join our team in Waterloo, Ontario. As a key member of our Asian Markets business, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and delivering exceptional service to high net worth clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional client service and support, adhering to high standards to execute against the desired client experience.
- Collaborate with internal partners to meet the needs of high net worth clients, addressing queries and completing transactions as needed.
- Investigate and respond to advisor/client needs in a timely manner, working with minimal supervision.
- Be a key member of the relationship management team, interacting primarily with end clients who will rely on this role for their day-to-day requirements.
Credit and Security Management:
- Set up and administer new loan and deposit business, processing related financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate records to meet reporting, compliance, and audit requirements, ensuring the quality of security files is always high.
- Promptly escalate and work to remediate any deficiencies, collaborating with Manulife Private Wealth operations and Bank operational staff.
Administration and Branch Operations:
- Identify applicable process/system/product enhancements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Maintain the security of all bank records and correspondence.
- Perform general office administration tasks.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (verbally and written).
- Post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, including retail, commercial, and high net worth banking.
- Excellent knowledge of banking operations, including systems and controls.
- Proficiency in PC skills, including Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make decisions using sound judgment and be accountable.

- Influence and collaborate effectively with high net worth teams in sophisticated and demanding business environments.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of $56,400 - $94,000 CAD per year.
