Job Title: Carpenter - Framing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Framing Specialist to join our team at INDUS CONSTRUCTION LTD. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Scheduling and co-ordinating work on sites.
  • Surveying building locations and levels.
  • Instructing apprentices.
  • Supervising other workers.
  • Estimating costs and materials.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy and dusty environments.
  • Ability to work outdoors.
  • Ability to relocate.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be working in a construction environment with various locations, relocation costs covered by the employer.

Language:

The language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
