About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at PB13 Framing Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Handling and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the construction project.
  • Leadership and Training: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Project Management: Estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade.
  • Permanent employment with a standard 35-40 hour workweek.
  • Proficiency in English as the primary language of communication.
