About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Framing Specialist to join our team at INDUS CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for framing projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes
  • Develop and implement efficient layouts for framing projects, using measuring tools and equipment
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create framing structures
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for framing projects
  • Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Conduct site surveys and level checks to ensure accuracy and quality of work
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices and other team members
  • Supervise and lead a team of workers on construction sites
  • Estimate costs and materials for framing projects
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in framing and carpentry
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a variety of weather conditions
