We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at PB13 Framing Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare building layouts in accordance with local building codes, utilizing measuring tools and equipment.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to construct building frameworks.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, requiring attention to detail and precision.
- Instruct and mentor apprentices in framing techniques and best practices.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of other construction team members, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings, such as mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Work collaboratively with the construction team to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in framing or a related field.
- Ability to work in a dusty environment and adapt to various work settings.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to instruct and supervise others.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work at heights.
