Deafblind Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Deafblind Support Specialist to join our team at Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are deafblind to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives, including personal care, communication, and daily activities.
- Use effective communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate and succeed in all aspects of daily living.
- Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives, and provide personal care as required.
- Ensure documentation and records are complete and accurate.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Communication in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour.
