About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transformation Leader to join our team at Metrolinx. As a key member of our Operations Business Services Team, you will be responsible for leading and implementing transformation programs to drive business unit effectiveness, efficiency, and customer-centricity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive change plan, including governance and accountability structures, to successfully oversee multiple and overlapping change projects.
  • Lead the definition and development of core-competency outcomes, scope, strategic alignment, and benefits, and measurement methods and KPIs, following clear, consistent, and rigorous processes and controls.
  • Develop and implement a business transformation roadmap and plan, in coordination with business unit leaders, to identify and implement initiatives that support strengthening the skills and competencies of our resources across all functional lines of business.
  • Manage project teams, including vendor resources, to completion of mandate, monitoring project delivery for adherence to quality, safety, scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Support and initiate LEAN process through a LEAN leadership approach.
  • Work with leaders to create a Communication and Change Strategy and Plan and support its execution to ensure the successful implementation and sustainment of change and transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with project contractors/consultants to set standards/expectations and facilitate feedback structures associated with performance (SLAs, response times) and leverage knowledge/expertise of contractor related to functional area requirements.
  • Provide reports and updates to business unit leaders and other interested stakeholders, with actionable recommendations on implementation options to decision-makers.
  • Manage resources on a project basis across all projects, including third-party consultants.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in providing consultation, advice, and day-to-day guidance regarding functional requirements and processes.
Requirements
  • Completion of a degree in Business or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience/training in managing complex change efforts and/or business process improvements, including leading a department or managing a business unit.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset for this role.
  • Leading transformational change, risk management, and assessment initiatives to adapt to new or changing requirements and lead change throughout the organization.
  • Knowledge of project management and related systems requirements and development methodologies, to support the delivery of a portfolio of very large inter-dependent projects, will be an asset for this role.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is an asset.
  • Training in change management or knowledge of change management methodologies and best practices would be an asset.
  • Training and experience in LEAN methodologies and leadership practices would be an asset.
