We are seeking a skilled Disability Overpayment Recovery Specialist to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing, investigating, and reconciling disability claims overpayment collections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and investigate disability claims overpayment collections by reviewing correspondence, researching and reviewing wage loss payment history, and performing manual calculations.
  • Interpret legal case precedents and relevant legislation to determine the best course of action for overpayment recovery.
  • Negotiate settlement amounts with clients or members in accordance with established practice and parameters.
  • Represent Pacific Blue Cross and its entities at Small Claims Court as required.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • 3 years previous related experience in collections administration, including demonstrated experience in disability insurance claims collections.
  • Completion of a Financial Accounting course or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Business Law course or equivalent.
  • Completion of an Intermediate Excel course or equivalent.
  • Completion of an Intermediate Word course or equivalent.
