Care Leader for Community Health Services

Are you a motivated and experienced healthcare professional looking to take on a leadership role in community health services? We are seeking a skilled Care Leader to join our team at VON Canada (Nova Scotia).
About the RoleWe are committed to providing exceptional care and support to individuals in their own homes and communities. As a Care Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care services, managing staff, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Job Summary:
- Provide leadership and direction to staff in delivering client care services
- Manage day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, training, and performance management
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational goals and objectives
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and outcomes
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Post-Secondary education in a related field
- Regulated Health Professional certification as a Registered Nurse
- A minimum of 2 years' experience managing others
- Experience in community work and working with community partners in a collaborative way
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to travel regularly, both during the day and overnight, to support sites and attend meetings
