Mission

This role involves providing hands-on field support as a liaison between Construction Superintendents and site trades. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that scheduling, work performance, and adherence to project goals are aligned and in order.

To succeed in this position, you will need strong skills in Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) coordination, with experience working on large public infrastructure projects an asset.

Main Responsibilities

Safety First

  • Ensure adherence to Project Safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Project Coordination

  • Review and understand project schedule to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee and facilitate the installation of equipment and components for a project to ensure contractors fulfill all obligations.
  • Serve as a liaison with project management reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and delays.

BIM Execution and Deliverables

  • Participate in project meetings and facilitate regularly-scheduled meetings related to BIM execution and deliverables.
  • Support integration of project data such as schedule, estimate, documentation, cost reports, and performance data.

Tech Support and Issue Resolution

  • Interpret designs and drawings for technicians.
  • Track RFIs, Shop Drawings, As-built drawings, and other project documents.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any site issues that may impede the project delivery.
  • Provide technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues. You should also have the ability to work in a cost-effective, customer-focused, team-based environment. Previous experience working on a large public infrastructure project is highly valued. A valid driver's license, preferably with a clean abstract, is required.

Work Environment

You will be working at an in-process construction site, which includes working at heights, outdoors in various Edmonton weather conditions, climbing stairs and ladders, negotiating steep or slippery terrain, and dealing with noise and dust.
