Construction Project Coordinator Specialist

Role Overview
The Construction Field Coordinator will play a crucial role in the delivery of the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT Project.
This position requires an individual who can work independently, possess good time and project management skills, and be willing to relocate to the project site location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure construction activities comply with the Project Agreement, focusing on quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance.
- Review and understand project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Oversee and facilitate the installation of concrete and other materials, ensuring contractors fulfill their obligations and adhere to approved contracts, specifications, and schedules.
- Act as a liaison between project management, reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and delays.
- Participate in project meetings and facilitate regularly-scheduled BIM execution and deliverables meetings.
- Support the integration of project data, including schedules, estimates, documentation, cost projections, and performance data.
- Interpret designs and drawings for technicians.
- Track RFIs, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other project documents.
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues that may impede project delivery.
- Provide technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors and trades.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering and construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of self-performing experience in the construction field, specifically on large, complex, heavy civil transportation projects.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a cost-conscious, customer-focused team-based environment.
- Effective team participation and coordination skills.
- Physical stamina to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license, preferably with a clean abstract.
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
