About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Advisor to lead the effort in consolidating scope and cost for large-scale infrastructure projects ranging from $25M to $1B+

This role will ensure that projects follow our governance process and assist the Project Manager in receiving executive approval throughout the project lifecycle

The successful candidate will develop responses to regulatory and legal data requests related to estimated costs and serve as a subject matter expert on project estimation and aggregation methodology

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, schedule, and manage the process for gathering scope and cost for project aggregations at each stage gate
  • Analyze cost estimates to verify they align with historical benchmarks for comparable projects, investigating rationale and drivers for out-of-line estimates
  • Manage supporting documentation for stage gate updates and regulatory filings
  • Promptly peer review project aggregations with minimal supervision
  • Develop cost estimates for new transmission & distribution substations, rebuild/expansion of substations, major equipment replacements, protection upgrades/SA3, and new customer substations

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of ten years of experience in the construction industry, along with a thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools

Additionally, you should be proficient in computer-assisted design (AutoCAD) and other design, data recording, and analysis software, with the ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering plans and schematics, soils reports, and visualize finished grade production

You will also need knowledge of best management practices (BMP), materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of buildings, safety regulations, and the ability to identify and solve complex problems

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth and professional development within the company
