Job Opportunity: Commercial Marketer

Brown & Brown Canada is looking for an experienced Commercial Marketer to join our Markham & Toronto team. As a Commercial Marketer, you will be responsible for preparing new business coverage analyses, retrieving applications and underwriter information, and placing bind orders with insurers. You will also advise Technical Service Assistants on instructions for invoicing and certificate issuance, ensure all correspondence is attached and documented in the Business Management System, and hold bi-monthly new business meetings with Client Advisors. Additionally, you will create and maintain schedules of insurance, obtain signed finance agreements, update Acord applications, and quote all lines of coverage as requested by Client Advisors.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of insurance experience in Commercial Lines
  • RIBO license required
  • Minimum of high school diploma
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from carrier representatives, customers, and groups of employees
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
  • Knowledge of Applied, Excel, Word, and Outlook programs preferred
  • Efficient on EPIC - BMS systems
