Project Director

In this dynamic role, you will have the overall responsibility for the successful closure of a full-scale project. You will utilize your extensive project management expertise to lead multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrate your leadership skills by guiding the Company owners team through various studies in preparation for closure.
As the primary facilitator of critical activities between different departments within Kidd Operations, as well as with other key internal stakeholders such as the Capital Management Framework (CMF) Governance team, North American Closed Sites team (NACS), Legal, etc., you will ensure seamless coordination and communication.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the coordination of the site team with respect to the multifaceted Glencore Closure framework;
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Project Team Members to create a collaborative and performing work environment;
- Be the primary Lead on external communications with communities, first nations, government, and regulators;
- Promote IRS and ensure health, safety, environment, and community (HSEC) standards for Kidd Creek employees and Contractors are met;
- Report study and project progress to Head of Studies and Steering Committees;
- Manage project approval protocols;
- Handle the supervision and control of risk documentation associated with projects and studies.
- Tertiary education in Engineering (metallurgical or process, mechanical, electrical, civil);
- Proven experience in project management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in mine projects (concept, pre-feasibility, and feasibility);
- Solid experience in financial and cost modelling;
- Experience managing and developing various stakeholder relationships as well as coordinating and leading internal teams;
- Good organizational and time management skills to efficiently work across multiple projects.
English is the primary language of communication. Knowledge of French is an asset. The role is site-based in Timmins, Ontario.
