Aerospace Project Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to lead our closure project at Kidd Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of the site team and ensuring the successful execution of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the project team, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the company's objectives and goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Capital Management Framework (CMF) Governance team, North American Closed Sites team (NACS), Legal, and other key stakeholders.
- Project Coordination: Oversee the coordination of the site team with respect to the multifaceted Glencore Closure framework, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within budget.
- Communication and Reporting: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including communities, first nations, government, and regulators, and provide regular progress reports to the Head of Studies and Steering Committees.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the project, ensuring that all necessary protocols are in place to minimize potential risks.
- Team Development: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to project team members, promoting a collaborative and performing work environment.
- Education: Tertiary education in Engineering (metallurgical or process, mechanical, electrical, civil).
- Experience: Proven experience in project management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in mine projects (concept, pre-feasibility, and feasibility).
- Skills: Solid experience in financial and cost modeling, experience managing and developing various stakeholder relationships, and good organizational and time management skills.
The language of this role is English, with knowledge of French being an asset. The location of this role is site-based in Timmins, Ontario.
