We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our Business Solutions team in Toronto. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing business application solutions, assisting the business in identifying and resolving business problems, and conducting research.

The ideal candidate will have experience with systems development methodologies, process analysis tools, project management disciplines, and data usage. You will work closely with internal teams and third-party providers to generate requirements, screen mock-ups, and data mapping.

You will collaborate with business partners to identify problems and opportunities and investigate and implement solutions to support the business strategy. Additionally, you will research and recommend solutions to enable additional business capabilities, generate ad-hoc reports to support business decisions, and provide support for process analysis and continuous improvement.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years' experience as an analyst in the insurance or equivalent financial services field is also required.

You should possess solid oral and written communication skills, the ability to identify, convey, and document business requirements and technical needs in a clear, concise, and effective manner. Strong technical writing skills and the ability to document procedures and/or user guides for new tools are also essential.

Other important skills include understanding of standard change management procedures for business applications, the ability to perform risk assessments and define appropriate controls, and facilitation of the identification of business problems, objectives, etc.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000 per year, based on industry standards for similar roles in Toronto. This figure includes a generous annual bonus program and defined contribution pension plan.
