Job Summary:
SEA MAR Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at the 4th Plain Dental Clinic in Vancouver, WA. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dental provider in delivering dental procedures in accordance with the WA State Dental Practice Act. Your responsibilities will include assisting with Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery procedures, as well as maintaining proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore tests, and inventory of dental supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dental provider in delivering dental procedures
- Maintain proper records for MSDS, spore tests, and dental supplies
- Assist in training new Dental Assistants and organizing schedules
Requirements:
- Valid WA State license and basic life support (BLS) certification
- Organizational skills and dental record experience
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate in English
- Preferred bi-lingual in Spanish
Education and Experience:
- Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute, or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of work experience for Dental Assistant II, or 18 months for Dental Assistant I
- 2 years of work experience for Dental Assistant III, or 3 years for those without formal training
