We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our efforts in this area and help shape the organization's culture. This is a critical role that will require a deep understanding of anti-oppression, DEI, and accessibility frameworks, as well as the ability to proactively identify challenges and opportunities related to these areas of expertise.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of developing and implementing strategies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as experience working with diverse groups and communities. They will be able to provide vision and leadership on matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and collaborate across departments to create a welcoming and respectful environment. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and funders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop policies and practices that support a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment, including staff recruitment, hiring, and retention
- Design and implement training programs to promote awareness, reduce unconscious bias, and equip employees with tools for inclusive behaviors
- Participate in DEI and reconciliation working groups, communities of interest/practice, and community initiatives and events that enhance the understanding, alignment, and advancement of best practices

Requirements:
- Master's level degree in a related subject (for example, social science, sociology, cultural studies, anthropology, social work, Indigenous studies)
- Ten (10) + years of progressive, related experience, including program development, strategy definition, and experience leading large-scale change

Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $44.02 - $46.66 per hour
- 70 hours over two-week period, Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
- Health care benefits plan after a 90-day waiting period
- Immediate enrollment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
