Baker Tilly Ottawa LLP is an accounting, tax and business advisory firm offering a competitive remuneration package based on experience and qualifications. We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to support our people.

About the Position

The successful candidate will work with the Human Resource team to develop and execute personnel procedures and policies. This role will also assist in recruiting by reviewing applications, coordinating interviews and performing reference checks. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks for onboarding and new-hire orientation, including setting up employees in our human resources information system (HRIS).

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives
  • Assist with recruitment and selection processes, including reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and verifying references
  • Administer employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring seamless transitions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records using Bamboo HR platform
  • Support performance management by tracking employee progress and submitting reports as required
  • Prepare and submit various reports, such as payroll and compliance-related documents
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a post-secondary degree in human resources or a related field and 2-3 years of experience as an HR coordinator. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Bamboo HR Platform are preferred.

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is mandatory. Two to three years of experience as an HR coordinator is required.
