Senior Laboratory Animal Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Laboratory Animal Technician to join our team at Memorial University.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to work in a laboratory animal research environment. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for caring for a variety of laboratory animals, including swine and rodent species.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing clean feed, bedding, and enrichment for animals
- Performing routine animal cage change and swine room cleaning, and enrichment procedures
- Evaluating the animals on a daily basis for normal/abnormal status
- Reporting any problems to the Veterinarian
- Assisting Clinical or Senior Technical staff with animal handling and restraint
To be successful in this role, you will have experience (1-3 years) in feeding and caring for animals in a laboratory or clinical environment. A veterinary technology or assistant program diploma or equivalent combination of experience and training is also required.
What We OfferThe successful candidate can expect a competitive salary ranging from $46,134 to $54,114 per annum, depending on experience. This position also offers opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
