Job Summary
We are seeking an Automotive Service Technician Associate to join our team. As an Apprentice Automotive Service Technician, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn the skills necessary to become a certified automotive technician.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting senior technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks;
- Performing routine vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests;
- Cleaning and organizing the workshop area;
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction;
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A strong passion for working with cars and a desire to learn and develop your skills;
- No degree, certificate or diploma;
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field;
- The ability to relocate for this position (candidates should consider relocating for career growth);
- The required certifications mentioned above;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing priorities and deadlines.

Working Environment
This is a permanent full-time position with a regular schedule of 64 to 80 hours bi-weekly. The job involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes. This position is a paid internship that encourages on-the-job training and skill development. We support newcomers and refugees by participating in government or community programs or initiatives, assisting with immediate settlement needs, supporting social and labour market integration, recruiting displaced individuals, supporting foreign credential recognition, offering mentorship programs and providing diversity and cross-cultural training. We also offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth and supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
