Job Title: Veterinary Care Specialist

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch patient care, conducting physical examinations, diagnosing diseases, and performing various medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat animal health issues through physical exams and laboratory tests
  • Prescribe medication, set bones, dress wounds, and perform surgery as needed
  • Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases
  • Advise clients on animal care, including feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care
  • Enforce government regulations in disease control and food production
Requirements:
  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Work Environment:

Our hospital operates in a fast-paced environment with extended standing periods. You must be physically demanding, have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
