Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments to prevent delays and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on logistics operations and performance.
- Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery to maintain efficient logistics operations.
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Coordinate activities with warehouse and production units to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Compile worksheets and specifications of orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner.
- Prepare and maintain progress and other reports to management.
- Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Communicate with ships, aircraft, and other remote operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations to ensure timely response.
- Follow-up on issues with work orders to ensure timely resolution.
- Keep track of shipments to ensure timely delivery and prevent delays.
- Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices to ensure compliance.
- Respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life-threatening situations and require assistance.
- Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure timely delivery and prevent delays.
- College/CEGEP education.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics operations.
- Relocation costs covered by employer.
- Freight forwarding experience.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Accurate and organized with strong communication skills.
- Free parking available.
- Permanent work term.
- Work language: English.
- Hours: 30 hours per week.
