Job Overview

No Frills is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store's management, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the produce department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and manage department staff to meet business needs and achieve sales goals.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality, presentation, and pricing integrity.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
  • Train and motivate staff to provide exceptional customer service and promote company values.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ordering stock as needed to maintain optimal levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years of management experience in fresh departments (produce, meat, deli, bakery).
  • Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for No Frills' concept as a discount food store focusing on low price image.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Absence of tolerance for inconsistency or poor performance from staff.
What We Offer

No Frills offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
