Farm Boy is a leading retailer in Ontario, committed to providing a unique fresh food shopping experience.

We are seeking an experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the backroom in the Produce Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service and support Farm Boy's vision of the best fresh shopping experience.
  • Oversee the preparation, packaging, pricing, rotation, and quality standards of produce.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team, including recording shrink, supply inventory, and orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by performing general housekeeping duties, including equipment maintenance and sanitizing.
  • Lead by example by promoting corporate policies, customer service standards, departmental cleanliness, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist, relieve, and train department personnel as requested by the management team.
  • Comply with all corporate policies, especially those related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and equipment use.

Requirements:

  • A post-secondary education and a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • A clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities while communicating with customers and Farm Boy team members.
  • The ability to learn manual and automated systems/tools.
  • Skill at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and a high level of performance.
  • A flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in French is considered an asset.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
