Produce Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies for managing the produce department to achieve business goals.
- Train staff to understand policies and procedures, effectively communicate with customers, and provide excellent customer service.
- Schedule department staff to meet business needs, handle customer complaints efficiently, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Comply with Health and Safety policies, ensure policies are followed by staff, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor activities.
- Delegate workload, prioritize tasks, and motivate staff to achieve sales goals.
- Effectively merchandise, advertise, and promote produce programs to enhance sales and profitability.
- Maintain accurate inventory, ensure proper product rotation, and ensure pricing integrity.
- Accountable for store operations in the absence of the Franchisee, including key carrying and alarm responsibilities.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years management experience in fresh departments (produce, meat, deli, bakery).
- Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the NOFRILLS concept and the produce department's impact on store performance.
- Excellent communication skills, customer focus, and ability to manage people.
- Ability to work with minimal functional direction, solid knowledge of the produce area, operations, and products.
- Open availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
