Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Community Advantage Rehabilitation, a division of Lifemark. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work with adults and children in the Durham Region, providing ministry-funded, community-based Occupational Therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention in the areas of home safety, home modifications, equipment prescription, fall prevention, mobility, cognition, and stroke.
- Develop and implement best practice and evidence-based Occupational Therapy intervention in collaboration with clients and caregivers.
- Provide education to clients and caregivers, and link to community agencies and resources when appropriate.
- Complete funding applications and maintain documentation according to CAR and COTO standards.
Requirements:
- Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Experience in working with clients in a community setting is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional team.
- Excellent oral, written, and report writing skills.
- Proficiency with computers and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
