Job Title: Mainframe Chief Functional Analyst

At NBC, we're seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Chief Functional Analyst to join our Transactional Assets Banking - Backend team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in exercising your IT expertise in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand business issues, identify customer and business partner needs, and analyze requirements.
  • Document requests and prepare recommendations for system design or adaptation.
  • Perform complex analyses, identify gaps, and make recommendations to optimize system efficiency and resolve issues.
  • Analyze requests for system changes, assess impacts on existing applications, and suggest appropriate changes.
  • Establish validation and quality control procedures, perform comprehensive testing, and ensure system adequacy.
  • Provide support for user requests or issues affecting existing applications.
  • Produce Target Business Solutions and functional analyses.
  • Participate in testing and resolution of customer and application support queries.
  • Supervise other resources as required for project implementation or evolving requests.

Our IT team consists of over 2,300 proactive, collaborative experts who work with agility to seize opportunities and stay on the cutting edge of technology. Within the Banking Transactional Assets - Backend sector, you'll be part of a large team of 23 colleagues, including analysts, programmers, and testers, and will report to the Chief Director.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or industry-related degree and five years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the Plant (IBM 390 Mainframe) is desirable.
  • Experience in banking and/or finance is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and DevOps.
  • Knowledge of JIRA/Tempo/Confluence.
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and time effectively.
