Job Description

The Chartered Professional Accountants Of Manitoba is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparation and review of financial transactions and the financial results of a segment of the Company's operating units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analysis of monthly business segment reporting to understand variances to budget and month-to-month fluctuations.
  • Collaboration with operations team to provide financial support where required, including financial analysis to understand the financial implications of ongoing projects, potential opportunities and/or problems experienced.
  • Review of purchasing transactions and assessment of required federal and provincial taxes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Review of outstanding accounts receivable and support where required to ensure the timeliness of cash collections.
  • Perform bank reconciliations of balance sheet accounts as required.
  • Other full-cycle accounting functions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in core accounting processes is preferred.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience. The company offers flexible health & dental benefits, group life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment insurance, and long-term disability insurance.
