Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Advisor to join our team at The Chartered Professional Accountants Of Manitoba. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving financial decision-making and strategy.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity with an estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as a strategic business partner, bringing an understanding of finance, value creation, and funding drivers.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop detailed budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure outlook which support informed decision-making.
  • Provides an objective view of the organization to ensure decisions are fact-based, supported by strong analytics.
  • Analyzes financial results, key performance indicators, and trends and communicates results.
  • Supports workforce planning efforts and ensures staffing details, including changes, are available to leaders in a format that is clear and easily understandable.
  • Streamlines processes and identifies opportunities for automation and peak system utilization.
  • Supports completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with cross-functional business partners.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a financial analyst role and CPA (CA, CMA, or CGA) designation in good standing required.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on MS Excel including manipulating data, using complex formulas, macros, and pivot tables.
  • Experience using analytical software such as Tableau or Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships throughout all areas and levels of an organization is required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes through procedure change or automation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, senior management, other departments, and agencies.
  • Proven ability to communicate both financial and non-financial results, including the development of visuals and KPI's.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with K-12 or post-secondary education is an asset.
