The Role
We're seeking an exceptional Strategic Paid Media Leader to spearhead our Paid Media division. As the leader, you'll be responsible for driving departmental growth, client satisfaction, product innovation, team development, and thought leadership. You'll play a crucial role in elevating Directive Consulting to the upper echelon of performance marketing agencies.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and is a key member of the management team. You'll work closely with various departments to achieve company-wide objectives and serve as the CEO of the Paid Media division.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspire your team to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive business growth by developing innovative paid media strategies.
- Lead a team of world-class paid media strategists in executing cutting-edge campaigns for mid-level and enterprise SaaS and Tech companies.
- Develop and approve paid media strategies that consistently meet or exceed client goals.
- Pitch new business opportunities and grow existing clients through effective leadership and communication.
- Stay abreast of industry changes and adjust client strategies accordingly.
- Oversee the department's budget, including staffing and resource requirements.
Your Offerings
- 5-10+ years of experience managing teams of 10+ paid media practitioners, preferably at a growing agency.
- Familiarity with navigating, servicing, and growing enterprise-level paid media engagements.
- Experience communicating as an executive sponsor of key accounts; exceptional customer service and communication with the C-Suite during key moments.
- A dynamic performance-marketing mindset for B2B, a clear perspective on what drives performance success, and curiosity about future trends in paid media for B2B SaaS and Tech organizations, particularly LinkedIn, Programmatic, Google Ads, and Review Sites (e.g., Capterra, G2).
- High emotional intelligence and ability to work effectively across teams with diverse individuals.
- Ability to understand client goals and translate them into broader strategic campaigns for leadership and the greater team.
- Willingsness to pivot based on priority shifts or industry changes and anticipate change.
- Clear communication skills with strategic insights and ability to create buy-in across the organization.
- A clear vision for the future direction of the marketplace, with a track record of thought leadership in paid media.
- Solid strategic skills and impressive understanding of business from both market and P&L perspectives.
- Exceptional ability to motivate and retain a world-class team.
- Willingness to travel as needed – open to new places, faces, and ideas.

Work Environment Requirements
We are a remote-first company, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US, with the option to enjoy our state-of-the-art offices in Irvine, California. This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your home office.
