Your Opportunity

Our Business Resilience Team is looking for a Senior Manager, Risk Advisory to join BDO's national Risk Advisory Services team. As a Senior Manager, you will deliver high-quality consulting services, with an all-hazard and integrated crisis management approach, covering risk analyses, emergency preparedness and response, business impact analysis and continuity, IT disaster recovery, crisis communication, training, testing & simulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement resilience strategies, including thorough risk assessments and comprehensive business resilience strategies that ensure adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Establish resilient frameworks, policies, and procedures to guide the organization in handling crises, disasters, and disruptions effectively.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients at all levels of experience, including leadership, and contribute to business development and sales initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach team members to maximize their potential and create a working atmosphere that promotes learning.

Your Experience and Education

  • University diploma and preferably in risk and emergency management fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years as a Manager with experience in the mentioned areas on top of a minimum of 5 years as a practitioner in Business Resilience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in one or a combination of the targeted industries.
  • Experience in supporting a professional services firm in the development of an advisory practice.

Professional Requirements

  • Verifiable track record in the targeted industries, including building relationships.
  • Professional designation (CBCP, CBCI).
  • Membership in risk management, emergency management, and/or business continuity organizations.
  • Knowledge of risk analysis, emergency preparedness and response, and business continuity approaches, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience in anticipating and diagnosing problems that arise during projects, building and documenting solutions, drafting effective communications for clients, managing and coordinating projects.

Language and Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Government of Canada security clearance or ability to qualify.
