We are looking for a candidate with 2 to 6 years of experience underwriting management liability, or a broker with 3 to 5 years of experience in the financial institutions segment, or a candidate with equivalent experience working in a financial institution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Manage and grow a book of business aligned with the team's strategic focus.
- Develop and nurture relationships with brokers and customers.
- Underwrite complex risks with discipline, diligence, and portfolio strength.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of service orientation, agility, and decisiveness.
- Develop creative solutions for partners and effectively communicate BHSI's value proposition.
- Collaborate with the in-house claims team to provide a positive and transparent experience for customers.
- Work closely with teammates across all product lines.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A demonstrated understanding of financial analysis and financial markets.
- A foundational to high level of understanding of policy forms and coverage types, including Directors and Officers Liability, Errors and Omissions, Employment Practices Liability, Cybersecurity, and Fidelity.
- A proven ability to develop and nurture a network of broker and customer relationships.
- A collaborative and team-focused mentality.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commercial, or BA in Economics.
