Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant II to provide high-level administrative support to a busy medical department. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to a team of medical professionals, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information and medical histories.
  • Develop and implement effective administrative systems and procedures to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.

Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary office/medical administration program at the certificate level or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years related administrative support experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
