**Job Summary**

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a highly skilled Program Administrator to support the development and delivery of Open Learning programs. This is a key role that requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Program Development
    • Support the development and revision of courses and programs for Open Learning
    • Track student progress through programs and coordinate logistics of clinical rotations
  • Program Administration
    • Monitor courses and programs, and recommend change where appropriate
    • Develop program information for students and industry
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Support the Associate Dean in the creation of partnerships, articulation, accreditation agreements and coordinate the signing of educational contracts for TRU-OL and with external agencies
    • Maintain contact with appropriate TRU staff, industry or business contacts in order to represent programs and courses, as well as to identify new delivery opportunities
  • Problem Solving and Analysis
    • Analyze transcripts for transfer credit and PLAR credit for relevant courses
    • Ensure policies and procedures for program entry requirements are met, and approve selected exceptions to policies such as program extensions
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare program reports for advisory, accreditation and faculty meetings
    • Approve student admission documents for relevant programs

**Qualifications**

  • Relevant four (4) year Health Care or Education related University degree
  • Two years of experience with course and/or program development including experience in industry networking, delivery of educational programming and curriculum planning on campus and by distance, and program administration, recruitment, and program assessment

  • Ability to handle situations that require diplomacy and confidentiality

  • Sitting at a desk and computer for long periods of time
  • General office conditions
  • Some lifting required exceeding 10 kg
  • Travel required
